The BioImaging Research Node houses our state-of-the-art commercial and custom imaging systems. Focused on optical imaging, this Node is home to microscopes that are not available elsewhere in Ontario or Canada. Some of its most unique and recent additions allow us to:
- perform label-free imaging of cells and tissues
- identify unique biomarkers by obtaining biochemical maps of samples and tissues
- acquire spatial and temporal information about cellular mechanisms and tissue remodelling processes
Several research labs are affiliated with the TEAM Hub BioImaging Node as users, collaborators, and/or technology developers. The following groups are directly related to the TEAM Hub’s imaging technology development, tissue microstructure assessment, and biomaterials characterization and image analysis:

Do you want to explore how light interacts with matter, discover how it can uncover the fundamental mechanisms behind cellular responses, and thereby improve our understanding of tissue structures?
